The scope of work for this 1,200 sq. ft. condominium included full service interior decorating from planning to implementation including selection of builder finishes, upgrades and comprehensive lighting plan.
Design Features
The living room features an entertainment unit on one side, and an electric fireplace on the opposite side. A faux chimney over the fireplace hides the transformers for an elaborate track lighting system. Pendants as well as pivoting heads are combined for task and general lighting. The layout of the track follows the curved outline of facing loveseats. Hidden lighting was also added under the curved floating shelves on either side of the chimney.
The custom dining table is granite with an inlaid compass design and teak “Mercedes” base. The custom, silk “stepped” draperies frame the south view of the Toronto skyline and mimic the steps of the glass block arch designed to visually separate the long entrance hall from the living area.
In the master bedroom, luxurious blue silk fabric makes a striking bedcover. The drapery treatment helps to disguise an awkward bulkhead. Lighting consists of swing-arm lamps, track lights, recessed lights and floor lamp. Extra storage is provided in the headboard and drawers under the bed.
