The kitchen and powder room in this small townhouse were in dire need of an update. Need I say more?
Design Features
The design concept for this kitchen was to keep the basic layout, but add much needed counter space to replace the oversized pantry and shelving on the short wall.
New finishes include white IKEA cabinets and handles, quartz countertop, glass tile backsplash, and sheet vinyl flooring in a faux-slate pattern. A cabinet panel hides a new dishwasher for a cleaner look. Notice the warm tones of the new flooring, countertop, backsplash and paint colour.
In the tiny powder room, large-scale wallpaper adds a lot of pizzazz. Wall to wall mirror helps expand the space and does double-duty as a backsplash. A narrow glass shelf provides some decorative and functional display space. Notice the repetition of curves on the toilet tank, sink, oval faucet and light fixture. Dropped cornice moulding helps change the room's telephone booth proportions.
